Sonia Bertrand was born in Amiens, France, in 1975. After completing high school at the French Consulate’s boarding school in Tunisia and undergraduate studies in International Law in Strasbourg, she moved to Italy in 1997 to start her career in photography.
She collaborated with the Nider Studio, which is represented by the Franca Speranza Agency and completed a specialisation in Interiors Photography. She has carried out photo-reportages in Israel, India, Mauritania and Indonesia.
After a period dedicated to music, she moved back to France. From 2000 to 2004 she lived between Paris and Chicago.
In 2010 Sonia Bertrand signed a representation agreement with Karen Howes at The Interior Archive. She now lives and works in Florence.
Her photographs have been published worldwide in: Art & Antiques (United States), Country Style (Germany), Elle Wonen (Holland), Wohnrevue (Switzerland), Bo Bedre (Denmark); and in Italy in: Case da Abitare, Elle, Spazio Casa, Brava Casa, La Mia Casa, Antiquariato, D di Repubblica.
